Oh what a tiring day today...

We almost walked the whole of toa payoh to deliver food for the needy elderly. Its the pre-trip service before we leave to Cambodia to do our 'Youth Expedition Project'.

But thinking abt it, its such a fruitful session. Its so pitiful to see those 'Ah gong & Ah ma' staying alone in their one room flat lah!

Seriously, please be filial to your parents next time! They took the trouble to look after us when we are young, so we should repay our kindness and take care of them when they are old =D

I will feel so heartbroken if my children were ever to send me to old folks home or ask me to stay alone... hahaha! That reminds me of 'MONEY NOT ENOUGH 2! '

You guys watch already? Its seriously nice and at the same time somehow or rather related to this post of mine! =)

Anyway this is one of the photo taken at the corridor of one of those blocks we went to. Its so ancient lor, with creepy yellow lighting. The aisle is so small and the door facing one another.

Just imagine how it feels staying in such places. Thats how those 'ah ma & ah gong' feel! =(

Anyway, listed below is our flight details:

  • 15 Sept 08: -Flight No.: 3K591 (Jetstar Asia)
  • -Departing at 0645hrs, changi airport terminal 1

  • 28 Sept 08: -Flight No.: 3K599 (Jetstar Asia)
  • -Departing Siem Reap at 0745hrs, back in Spore Termina 1 at 1205 hrs

So, those who wanna send us off or welcome us back, please do so! hahahah! =D

Here is an interesting yet strange quiz! Give it a try =)

Please do not cheat cause it so happens coincides exactly as what i thought!

Read each sentence in sequence. Please don't skip any steps or the mathematics will be thrown off.

Take the following test mentally. Don't write down answers and don't shout them out.

1. Pick a number from 2 to 9. It can be 2 or 9, or any number in-between.

2. Take your number and multiply it by 9.

3. That should give you a 2 digit number. Take these 2 digits and add them together.

4. Take the resulting number and subtract 5 from it.

5. Take that number and correspond it to the alphabet, numbering the letters. A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4 and so on.

6. Take your letter, and think of a country that begins with that letter.

7. Take the last letter in the name of that country, and think of an animal that starts with this letter.

8. Now, take the last letter in the name of that animal, and think of a color that starts with this letter.

9. Oh, and one more thing . . . . .

Highlight that bullet-ed row to see if the answer coincide with yours! dont cheat!

(Maybe only happens for me? hahaha! if happens to you guy, isnt it interesting?) =D

Actually whatever number u choose, its still the same... How interesting!

Now a joke to share with you all i find it funny!

A girl asks her boyfriend to come over Friday night and have dinner with her parents.

Since this is such a big event, the girl announces to her boyfriend that, after dinner, she would like to go out and make love for the first time.

Well, the boy is ecstatic, but he has never had sex before, so he takes a trip to the pharmacist to get some condoms. The pharmacist helps the boy for about an hour. He tells the boy everything there is to know about condoms and sex.

At the register, the pharmacist asks the boy how many condoms he'd like to buy, a 3-pack, 10-pack, or family pack. The boy insists on the family pack because he thinks he will be rather busy, it being his first time and all.

That night, the boy shows up at the girl's parents house and meets his girlfriend at the door. "Oh, I'm so excited for you to meet my parents, come on in!" The boy goes inside and is taken to the dinner table where the girl's parents are seated. The boy quickly offers to say grace and bows his head. A minute passes, and the boy is still deep in prayer, with his head down. 10 minutes pass, and still no movement from the boy. Finally, after 20 minutes with his head down, the girlfriend leans over and whispers to the boyfriend, "I had no idea you were this religious." The boy turns, and whispers back, "I had no idea your father was a pharmacist.

That's all! =D
Will try to get photos from Winson soon and upload it!

Oh its already the second day of holiday! =)

And seriously what a great experience we had this morning! Went for overnight fishing at bedok jetty, caught alot of small ku-neng! Yet in the end, those thirty over ku-neng end up dying for nothing... hahaha!

Then, it was around 4 plus in the morning. Some were having fun with UNO cards, a few were lying on the floor due to exhaustion. It start to drizzle so lightly that some can feel the raindrops, the others cant... Therefore, we decided to continue with wat we were doing. But in less than 10 mins, the sky turn obscure, thick dark clouds roam over to the direction of our jetty. Before we can pack and run, it start to pour so damn heavily... We had to run to the nearest shelter which is the toilet so far away! Its e first time ever i got so drench in the wee hours of the morning! Freaking cold and uncomfortable...

Now i can remember what hwee fang describe me as, 'drenched lizard'. hahah!

After the rain stop, we walked all e way from the toilet to Macdonalds. Wat a good 45 mins walk!

Since my blog is dedicated to Jonathan Teo Boon Kiat sayings, I finally got sth to blog abt him!

Scenario 1: At the toilet
ME: Later lets take cab back home lah...
Marzuq, jovan, jonathan: SET lah! you give us a ride back ok?
Mario: Wah then what about me?
Jonathan: You go back yourself lah... Who ask you to stay at Sengkang?! Got so many -kang, choa chu kang, yeo chua kang, lim chu kang why you wanna stay at sengkang?!

Scenario 2: At Macdonald
(Mario was the only one taking breakfast)
Jonathan: Later leave the last piece of hotcake for me...
Mario: OK OK!
(After Jonathan took the hotcake over from Mario)
Mario: Dont go back so early eh... My Mum lock the door i cant go in one!
Jonathan: Then you go buy another hotcake, sit outside your house to eat later lah! If you pissed can take your hotcake throw at your door!

Jonathan thanks for your jokes arh! =D

Oh here is an interesting yet good to know facts for teenagers like us! =)
Adapted from The Sun, (one of the website i frequently go to) its an article about the 'World's Top 5 food terror'!

Since most of us are still undergoing puberty with huge appetite, so maybe here are some good advices? hahaha!

The ultimate guide to the top 5 food terror:
1. Fizzy drinks :

These drinks are packed with preservatives like sodium (which could cause increased blood pressure) and sulphites, (which have been linked to triggering asthma attacks) and caffeine. Many artificial sweeteners used in these drinks have been linked with cancer, and it's been suggested that they make us feel hungrier too.

2. Deep fried crisps (Potato Chips):

Crisps are high in sodium and are deep-fried creating lots of saturated fat.
A typical 35g bag of crisps contains 180 calories and about two-and-a-half teaspoons of oil.
A larger 50g pack contains three-and-a-half teaspoons. Eat a bag a day and you could be drinking 2 litres of oil a year.

3. Doughnuts:

Doughnuts and other sweet baked goods are high in all of the worst things: often transfats, saturated fats, refined sugar, carbohydrates and preservatives. Trans-fats are artificial fats made when hydrogen gas reacts with oil. They pose a higher risk of heart disease than saturated fats.

4. Hotdogs:

Hot dogs contain nitrites, which are used as preservatives in the food. During the cooking process, nitrites combine to form compounds. These compounds have been associated with cancer of the oral cavity, urinary bladder, oesophagus, stomach and brain.

5. French Fries:

Thin French fries, like those sold in McDonalds, are deep fried, full of calories and saturated fats and contain acrylamide, which has been shown to cause cancer in lab rats and mice.

So these are the 5 food terrors... So avoid if you can! Live and stay healthy means living longer! =D

Its such a joyous sport occasion today!

Lets begin with man utd winning the community shield moments ago! It represented the first of what could turn out to be seven trophies for Man Utd this season!

Even though the match was not particularly outstanding just now, but i believe man utd was still in control of the whole match, dominating frm e start.. Yet, i still have got full of comments for some players.

Carlos Tevez- the highly rated striker which cost 32million pound for man utd did nothing special upfront. Couldnt even pass a ball properly! Strikes are not particularly outstanding, yet he is worth 32 million! Joke of e century!

Nani- the exact imitation of man utd favourite, cristiano ronaldo. like macham man utd bought a fake LV product from ebay? hahaha!

Edwin Van Der Sar - Seriously fantastic! he is old, yet he is a solid base for man utd to fall upon! Great goalkeeping =)

That's all for soccer, now OLYMPICS!

I am really so proud for swimmer Tao Li! She qualified for the finals! If i am not wrong, first ever singaporean to do so?

Yet that reminds me of reading an article on Yahoo! singapore yesterday... The headline of tt article: "Will there be enough talents in singapore?"

So disappointing lah! Indirectly saying that singapore have to depends on foreign talents in order to bring back more trophies. Even Tan Guan Lin said, "Singapore should walk out of the opening ceremony at Beijing with China and Indonesia Flag!"
Anyway, now with some interesting photos... =)
(Taken from The Sun online though)

Volleyball cheerleaders to wow the crowd, and more importantly wow some of the guys who view my blog! hahaha!

Before i end off with my post, guys try to watch WALL.E =)

Its seriously cute! For more info, click on the advert to find out more!

-my crazy fren, sumaiya!

And, connect spore is finally over! =)

Its quite saddening that most of the participants didnt get to recite the pledge. Our effort goes down e drain lah! All thanks to the DJ...

"10, 9 , 8, 7..... 3, 2, 1!"

She really shld have helped start off reciting the pledge, and not juz kept quiet aft counting down... Everyone was like so confused at tt moment. It wont take much of her breath to recite the pledge anyway!

Argghh, lets forget the unhappy side..

Btw, my name appear on the newspaper lah! hahaha! Its like first time ever in my whole 18 yrs of age =)

Was expecting it to appear since the journalist interviewed us ytd, and finally it appear! hahaha!

Though its not my face but name is good enough rite? hahaha! =D

庞道群eh! dun siao siao! hahaha!

-the journalist who interviewed us

Oh now with the opening ceremony of Olympics at Beijing! I was seriously impressed aft watching it ytd! No one does it better than Beijing! Seriously... Its so artistic and creative! Heard that ideas were frm Zhang Yimou... Really great job!

-The stadium

And, finally start of olympics!

Decided to post second time in a day!

anyway, to all my classmates taking FOOP tmr, all the best for ur paper! study hard =)

For me, I have to go for Connect Spore tomorrow...

-Look at how budget the pass is

In a way, its good because I have got more time to study for FOOP, but on the other hand, according to our lecturer retest are usually more difficult... =(
Anyway, came across this website!

Since its still chinese ghost festival now.. So here are some useful stuffs to share:
(If you guys are superstitious)

1. Avoid swimming during the 7th month. It is believed that those previously drowned evil ghost might cause you to drown in the swimming pool. Such ghost need to find victims in order for them to be go for rebirth.

2. Children and young adults are also advised to return home early and not to wander around alone at night. This belief is due to the reason that the wandering ghosts can possess children easily.

3. Avoid moving into new homes and opening new businesses this month as it is considered inauspicious and bad luck on new ventures.

4. Avoid getting married during this month because couples will have bad ending. Some bad ghost may cast a bad spell on couples during their wedding.

5. Avoid going for jungle trekking and going on camping trips as chances of injuries, possession and death are high.

6. Drive very carefully during this month to avoid accidents, as there may be many wandering spirits who died of accidents previously that are searching for next victims so that they could be reincarnated.

7. Protect your entrances with the genuine Peachwood Sword. This is the most excellent protector of ghost and evil spirits, claimed by many of our customers.
Its up to you to believe! Generally i also thought its best not to wear red undies during this period of time? hahaha!
actually tis is quite true! bcuz peiyi kanna tis on one morning...
while drying her hair, it got into the fan n lots of hair get stuck in the fan...
(no wonder she cant go for LUX advertisment alr! hahaha)
Also, since its the ghost festival now, here are some of the 5 most haunted place in spore for those daredevils... who are constantly on the lookout for ghost! hahaha! go to these places at your own risk!

1 Choa Chu Kang Cemetery

2 Old Changi Hospital

3 Kopi Hill aka Bukit Brown Cemetery

4 The Pasir Ris Swamp

5 The Punggol House

So that's all for today blog! =D
