Oh here is an interesting yet good to know facts for teenagers like us! =)
Adapted from The Sun, (one of the website i frequently go to) its an article about the 'World's Top 5 food terror'!

Since most of us are still undergoing puberty with huge appetite, so maybe here are some good advices? hahaha!

The ultimate guide to the top 5 food terror:
1. Fizzy drinks :

These drinks are packed with preservatives like sodium (which could cause increased blood pressure) and sulphites, (which have been linked to triggering asthma attacks) and caffeine. Many artificial sweeteners used in these drinks have been linked with cancer, and it's been suggested that they make us feel hungrier too.

2. Deep fried crisps (Potato Chips):

Crisps are high in sodium and are deep-fried creating lots of saturated fat.
A typical 35g bag of crisps contains 180 calories and about two-and-a-half teaspoons of oil.
A larger 50g pack contains three-and-a-half teaspoons. Eat a bag a day and you could be drinking 2 litres of oil a year.

3. Doughnuts:

Doughnuts and other sweet baked goods are high in all of the worst things: often transfats, saturated fats, refined sugar, carbohydrates and preservatives. Trans-fats are artificial fats made when hydrogen gas reacts with oil. They pose a higher risk of heart disease than saturated fats.

4. Hotdogs:

Hot dogs contain nitrites, which are used as preservatives in the food. During the cooking process, nitrites combine to form compounds. These compounds have been associated with cancer of the oral cavity, urinary bladder, oesophagus, stomach and brain.

5. French Fries:

Thin French fries, like those sold in McDonalds, are deep fried, full of calories and saturated fats and contain acrylamide, which has been shown to cause cancer in lab rats and mice.

So these are the 5 food terrors... So avoid if you can! Live and stay healthy means living longer! =D
